A real journey. A brighter tomorrow.

I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.

I chose not to have chemotherapy at that time. Later, my cancer progressed and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 incurable metastatic breast cancer.

I’m still here. Still healing. Still living.

If you’ve just heard the words “you have cancer,” or you’re living with metastatic breast cancer, I want you to know—you are not alone. I share my real journey, the fear, the faith, the choices, the setbacks and the hope.

My experience is personal and should never replace advice from your doctor or oncology team.

Even in the darkest days, there is hope.

My breast cancer journey

There was a time when simply standing felt impossible.

My journey has had many highs and lows from diagnosis and difficult treatment decisions to needing a wheelchair and learning to walk again. Through it all, God has been with me.

There were days when getting out of bed felt like an achievement.

There were days when I needed a wheelchair.

And then came the small steps.

I had people who never gave up on me.

Today, I’m still here. Still healing. Still living.

A note about my treatment story: In 2018 I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. I chose not to have chemotherapy at that time. Later, my cancer progressed and I was diagnosed with Stage 4 incurable metastatic breast cancer. I do not tell this story to tell anyone what treatment choice to make. I tell it because it is my truth. Please make your own treatment decisions with qualified medical professionals.
